Rolled in Glitter and Covered in Magic: Becoming a Unicorn

This week, I embarked on one of the most exciting journeys thus far – diving head-first into a brand new opportunity of a lifetime. I was acquainted with Krista Whitley and her blessing of unicorns through a dear collegiate friend and magic happened. The glitter-bomb within me was ignited, and I finally found my home.

Monday, I was introduced to my coworkers: an exciting team of inspired, enthusiastic individuals all with the collective ideals of spreading positivity, love, and self-improvement. From the moment that I walked in through the doorway, every fiber of my being felt like I belonged. Not only did I intrinsically feel that way, but my environment facilitated it. I was met with a smile and chipper attitude from every member of my team. Each person I interacted with had genuine support for me, it almost felt unreal.

In previous jobs, I have always felt some sort of unsettling feeling to some degree. Surprisingly, although my previous amount of experience in the field of marketing has been limited, I felt the most comfortable and invigorated compared to past places of employment. I sensed that my creative team wanted me to succeed, knowing my success is all of our success. It was made very evident to me from the start that this is a place for me to become the best version of myself that I can be.

Within the first week, I learned skills and was able to apply concepts I have never tried. I participated in my first professional networking event in the cannabis community. I was able to partake in an advertisement campaign. I avidly read books that involved business – something I never thought I would do in my free time. I am growing. SocialMediaUnicorn is growing. Now, we want to facilitate YOUR growth… come ride the rainbow.
